Thurs, June 21 – Refining Your Brand What are the “rules” for making great brand materials? How do you effectively share your voice and identity through your logo, design and website. And who is doing it well in the Jewish community? We’ll take a look at the building blocks for effective branding and experiment with new approaches for building our professional brands.
Weds, July 11 – Defining Your Audience & Creating Your Editorial CalendarA great editorial calendar begins with an intention to start conversation. We’ll review best practices for posting on social media, becoming a thought leader, and engaging with your community. Then we’ll put our skills to work in drafting an editorial calendar for the High Holidays.
Weds, July 25 – Choosing & Editing Images for Social MediaWhat makes a great photo? Where do you look for photos when you don’t have the right one? What can you do in editing to improve a less-than-perfect image? We’ll look at examples of social brands using photography in innovative ways. We’ll also play with some photo editing tools, as well as Canva, a free online tool for combining text, images, and other design elements.
Tues, August 7 – Producing Your Own Online Videos Video can be a compelling strategy for sharing your story, but how can you make something stand out without spending a lot of money? We’ll discuss DIY formats for simple online videos that you can start producing with your smartphone. We’ll also do some hands-on work together, creating a slideshow GIF for your brand to share.
Weds, August 22 & Thurs, August 23 – Video Production Sessions (45 minute appointments)Presenting your best self on camera and shooting high quality footage can be a challenge without a studio set up and a producer. We have the tools to do just that, and we’re pleased to invite you for a complimentary production session. We’ll help you shoot a short video for social media – whether it’s a pitch video for fundraising, or a Jewish New Year message for your community. Upon registration, you will be assigned a 45-minute session between 9am and 5pm. Sign up early to request the time slot of your choice!
