Barring a last minute change of mind little known Ivory Coast born Nigerian forward Blessing Olabiran will play in attack alongside Taiwo Awoniyi when the Nigeria U23 team take on Libya next week Wednesday in the U23 Cup of Nations Qualifiers, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
As first reported by this portal, Olabiran confirmed his call up to the Nigeria Olympic team in preparation for the game against Libya and he will most likely play in attack alongside on loan Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi.
Awoniyi has been scoring for fun since his move to Mouscron in January on loan from Liverpool and a possible pairing in attack with Olabiran who is popularly called Benito is now looking like a reality after on loan Roma forward Sadiq Umar revelaed he has not been invited for the game.
On loan to Perugia, Sadiq who has two goals in his last two games was widely reported to be among the players who will play in attack for the team but despite talks with coach Imama Amapakabo, the 21 year old told Owngoalnigeria.com that he has not received his invitation later.
