The Zazzau Emirate Council, Zaria has appealed to youths not to confront Kaduna state governor, Nasiru El-Rufai, over his alleged involvement in the embarrassment of the Emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
Alhaji Idris was denied access to the venue of the commissioning of Olam Hatchery and Mill factory by security operatives.
Reports say El-Rufai gave the order, an accusation his government has denied.
On Thursday, youths and other supporters were urged to converge on Kofar Doka, Zaria for protest on Friday.
Reacting via a statement by Galadiman Zazzau, Alhaji Nuhu Aliyu, the Zazzau emirate advised youths and other residents not to indulge in any act that would lead to disruption of peace.
“In line with religious injunctions that frown and curse those that initiate disruption of peace, the Emirate advises all and sundry to pray for the leaders of the country instead of protest. Zazzau Emirate, Kaduna state and Nigeria at large need peace.
“We should therefore do everything within our power to ensure that we continue to live in peace and harmony,” the statement added.
