Leicester City attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has set his sight on Saturday’s potentially explosive clash away to Liverpool to finally get his first goal of 2017 in the English Premier League, sequel to a long drought he has faced since arriving from Manchester City in the summer.
Incidentally, it was for City that Iheanacho scored his last EPL goal, which came on December 26, 2016 in a 3-0 drubbing of Hull City, and the former Columbus Crew of America star believes he can finally break his duck at Anfield this weekend.
The Forward’s last league goal came at KC Stadium where he scored the second on 78 minutes, for his fourth in 20 games (15 as a substitute) he played for The Citizens before his switch to Leicester.
Iheanacho will hope to not only to score, but also get a starting role, while his Nigerian pals at the club Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa will face different fortunes with the former Premier League champions.
While Ndidi could make his 20th start in all of The Foxes league games this season, Musa will be seeking to get listed, at least for his first Premier League appearance to end 2017.
