On loan Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode scored what ended as the match winner as Shakhtar Donetsk secured a 1-0 win over Mariupol in a Friday league game in Ukraine.
Kayode who was on for 84 minutes netted the game’s only goal which decided the tie in favour of his team in the 65th minute to keep his club in a commanding position to claim the league title.
The goal was Kayode’s second league goal in four games for Shakhtar Donetsk since joining them on loan after a disastrous first half of the season loan at Spanish LaLiga side Girona the team he joined upon his signing by Manchester City.
It is also the second time that the 24 year old has scored against same opponent as he scored one of the goals in their 5-1 thrashing of Mariupol in a cup game on the 18th of April.
It appears the scorer of 24 goals last season for Austrian side Austria Wien has regained the form that made Man City snapped him up at the beginning of the season.
