Liverpool’s Nigerian-born striker, Dominic Solanke has rated the club’s manager, Jurgen Klopp among the vest best tacticians in the world, and reckons the biggest reason why his games is improving daily is because he enjoys working with the German gaffer.
It was Klopp that approved the signing of the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup highest goals scorer from Chelsea in the summer and the mulatto striker, who has appeared 14 times for the first team, believes the former Borussia Dortmund boss is one of the best managers in the world.
The 20-year-old Solanke made his senior England debut against Brazil in a pre-World Cup friendly last month but remains eligible to wear the colours of the Super Eagles.
He is now enjoying tremendous turnaround fortunes, after managing only one first-team appearance for Chelsea throughout the 13 years he spent at Stamford Bridge, and puts the transformation down to Klopp’s impact on his game.
“He’s one of the best managers in the world and he’s worked with some of the best players in the world as well. When he gives positive feedback, it’s warming for me.
“I definitely need that. With me playing my first proper season in the Premier League I know there is a lot to learn.”
