A lot was expected of highly rated Nigerian winger Hilary Gong when he made a big career move from Slovakia side AS Trencin to Vitesse Arnhem of the Netherlands in the summer.
19 year old Gong took the league in Slovakia by storm and his move to Vitesse was viewed by many as a coup by the modest Dutch side as he was heavily linked with teams in Belgium, Germany and Spain.
However since his move, he has only played as a substitute on three different occasions in the Europa League while he is still waiting for his first game in the league after seven round of matches in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered from close associates of the former GBS Academy of Jos prospect that he is not properly fit after recovering from a thigh injury picked up in one of the Europa League games he played.
Although he is back in training, physically he is not a his best yet so the technical crew decided to allow him make a full recovery before handing him a role in the team and possibly as a starter for the 7th placed team on the 18 team log in the Netherlands.
